Biography:

Kavya Shetty is an Indian actress and model primarily recognized for her work in Kannada cinema. Her debut came in 2013 with the Kannada film “Nam Duniya Nam Style”. Born in Mangalore, Karnataka, she completed her schooling there before pursuing a degree in Computer Science engineering from N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology, Nitte.

During her college years, Shetty ventured into modeling, participating in various television commercials and winning the ‘Miss Photogenic’ title at the 2011 Femina Miss India beauty pageant. Noted for her runway presence, she walked for prominent designers at fashion events like the ‘Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week’ and Chennai International Fashion Week.

Shetty’s commercial modeling gigs included campaigns for brands like Reliance Jewels, Malabar Gold, and Toyota Altis, among others. In 2012, she transitioned to the film industry, initially signing on for the bilingual horror film “Shivani”. However, her first release was the Kannada film “Nam Duniya Nam Style”.

While her debut received mixed reviews, critics praised Shetty’s performance, acknowledging her potential. Subsequent projects like “Ishtakamya” further solidified her presence in the industry. She expanded her horizons by working in both Kannada and Telugu films, including collaborations with renowned actors and directors.

Outside of her acting career, Shetty ventured into entrepreneurship, launching her clothing and jewelry brand, Kassh, in 2019. Additionally, she is actively involved with the Aadyaa Foundation, advocating for children’s education and providing support to underprivileged communities.
