Born in Chennimalai, located in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu, India, he currently resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Kavitha Bharathy’s personal life is marked by a love story that defied odds. He fell in love with Sri Kanya, a Malayalam television actress, and their love led to marriage. However, this journey was not without challenges, as his spouse’s mother initially opposed their love marriage. In a bid to win her approval, Kavitha Bharathy undertook the task of learning Malayalam. Their love ultimately triumphed, and they got married on September 15, 2002, welcoming a daughter into their lives.

From a young age, Kavitha Bharathy harbored a desire to be recognized for his work. During his school days, he faced an inferiority complex but was determined to make his mark. He used to be the class representative and even won a poem competition with the help of his Tamil teacher, who allowed him to copy verses. He hails from a family of farmers, but instead of assisting with harvests, he dedicated his time to writing plays and dramas for local performances.
