Born on January 22, 1971, Katie Finneran is an American actress who won two Tony Awards for her roles in the Broadway productions of Promises, Promises (2010) and Noises Off (2002).
Finneran, of Irish Catholic descent, was born in Chicago, Illinois. She went to the New World School of the Arts High School while growing up in Miami, Florida. Before relocating to New York City at the age of 19 to study acting with Uta Hagen at HB Studio, she spent a year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
