Biography:

Actress and politician Kamya Panjabi, better known by her stage name Kamya Shalabh Dang, is from India and has acted in a number of Hindi television shows. She is also well-known for her 2013 involvement in Bigg Boss Season 7 on Colors TV. On October 27, 2021, she became a member of the Indian National Congress party.

Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann, and Reth are just a few of the Indian television serials where Panjabi rose to fame for playing antagonistic parts. Positive parts in Piya Ka Ghar, Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak, and Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar have also been portrayed by Panjabi. She appeared in Colors TV’s Bigg Boss 7 and Sony TV’s Comedy Circus comedy show’s second season.

She appeared in the Mehndi Mehndi music video and the Anamika music video Kala Shah Kala both in 1997. Panjabi played supporting roles in Telugu movie Maa Aavida Meeda Ottu Mee Aavida Chala Manchidi and Bollywood films Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Yaadein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and Koi Mil Gaya

In 2019 saw Panjabi make her stage debut alongside fellow television actress Kavita Kaushik in the play Pajama Party. August 13, 1979, is Panjabi’s birthday. Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee and Panjabi became good friends during Panjabi’s Bigg Boss 7 tenure.

Banerjee’s ex-boyfriend sued Panjabi when the latter released a film based on her life after she committed herself. In 2003, Panjabi wed Bunty Negi. 2009 saw the birth of her daughter Aara. 2013 saw their divorce She dated Karan Patel, an actress on television, but they split up in 2015.

On February 10, 2020, Panjabi tied the knot with her partner, Shalabh Dang, a physician in Delhi. Ishaan was Shalabh’s son from a previous marriage. Aara and Ishaan are currently under the care of Kamya and Shalabh. Punjabi became a member of the Congress party on October 27, 2021.
