Kalabhavan Haneef

Biography:

Kalabhavan Haneef was an Indian actor and impressionist who worked in Malayalam film from 1959 or 1960 to November 9, 2023. His first motion picture was Cheppukilukkana Changathi (1991).

Haneef began impersonating while still in school and went on to work as an impressionist and salesman. He had a close relationship with Cochin Kalabhavan, where many actors got their start. Haneef also added the name of the organization to his stage name, like Kalabhavan alumni do. Haneef was quite good at playing the roles of Raghavan and Nedumudi Venu.

Because of his theater performances, Haneef enjoyed great popularity both in India and elsewhere. Manassiloru Mazhavillu, Minnukettu, Nadhaswaram, Abi’s Corner, Comediyum Mimicsum Pinne Njanum, and Tilana Tilana were among the television series in which he had significant roles. He had minor roles in Malayalam films. Cheppukilukkana Changathi (1991) was his first motion picture. Later on, he appeared in over 150 movies.

Waheeda and Haneef were married, and the two of them had two kids. On November 9, 2023, in Kochi, he passed away at the age of 63 following two days of hospitalization for respiratory issues.
