K. M. Chaitanya
Biography:
K. M. Chaitanya is a theater professional, filmmaker, and documentary filmmaker who works in Kannada cinema. Aa Dinagalu (2007) is his most well-known film. Christ College was where Chaitanya studied journalism. He collaborated with Girish Karnad as an associate director on the national award-winning movie “Kanooru Heggadithi.” Aa Dinagalu, his debut feature film in Kannada, earned multiple honors, including Best Director and Best Feature Film at the 2007 Filmfare Awards South. Additionally, Chaitanya received honors for Best Debutant Director from the Chennai Film Fans Association, the South Indian Cinematographers’ Association, and the Raghavendra Chitravani Award. The Week named Aa Dinagalu one of the top ten Indian movies of 2007. In 2010, he directed the Kannada-language feature film “Suryakaanti”.
