Born on September 15, 1973, Jonathan Raymond Eusebio, better known by his stage name Jojo, was brought up in Canada by his Filipino parents. Eusebio first became interested in martial arts when he was eight years old. He enrolled in Dan Inosanto’s Academy of Martial Arts school and advanced through taekwondo, judo, wrestling, and kickboxing before realizing that martial arts would be his vocation.
Eusebio majored in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine as a result of his academic trajectory. He continued to pursue his love of martial arts despite working in a laboratory after graduating. At the age of 18, Eusebio started working professionally with David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, the creators of 87eleven Action Design and future filmmakers, at the Inosanto Academy in Marina Del Rey, California.
