Joaquin Phoenix was born on October 28, 1974, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He started his career as an actor in his childhood and received his initial fame for such films as To Die For (1995), Gladiator (2000), and Signs (2002). He became a leading dramatic actor because of his performances in The Village (2004), Walk the Line (2005), The Master (2012), Her (2013), and You Were Never Really Here (2017).
