Jamie Alter

Jamie Alter is a versatile individual known for his multifaceted career spanning sports journalism, acting, writing, hosting, and YouTubing. Born in India to the late Tom Alter, a celebrated actor recognized with the Padma Shri, and Carol Evans Alter, a co-founder of the American School of Bombay, Jamie’s upbringing was steeped in a rich cultural and educational environment.

Having delved into sports journalism since 2005, Jamie has established himself as a prominent figure in the field, with a notable stint at ESPNcricinfo followed by roles as Sports Editor at various prestigious platforms including the Times of India Digital, Cricbuzz, Cricketnext, and Zee Media. Alongside his journalistic endeavors, Jamie has authored two cricket-centric books, showcasing his depth of knowledge and passion for the sport.

In addition to his literary pursuits, Jamie has explored the realm of acting, making appearances in both films and web series. Notable among his roles is his portrayal of the main antagonist, Dr. Goldfish, in the Amazon Prime series “Afsos,” showcasing his versatility and range as an actor.
