Ilia Isorelýs Paulino

Biography:

Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (born March 26, 1995) is an American actress known for her roles as Lila Flores in The Sex Lives of College Girls (2021) and Alvida in Netflix’s live-action One Piece (2023).

She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Dominican parents and has a younger sister, Noemi, who is also an actress. Growing up primarily speaking Spanish, Paulino has said her journey into acting was challenging at first due to her strong accent. At 13, she auditioned with a friend for a stage production of Beauty and the Beast and landed the lead role of the Beast.

In 2013, she appeared in the short film Innovation before graduating from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. She later pursued musical theatre at DeSales University in Pennsylvania and completed her training at the Yale School of Drama in 2020.

In 2021, she had a supporting role in the film Queenpins. That same year, she began playing Lila Flores in HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, a role she continued for three seasons until the show ended in 2025. In early 2022, it was announced that she would portray the pirate captain Alvida in Netflix’s One Piece, a role for which she underwent a significant physical transformation between seasons.

In November 2023, Paulino co-founded Cusp of Rebirth Productions with Donato Fatuesi and Logan Ellis.
