Bennett was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and later resided with his wife and two kids in Hackney, East London. Bennett was inspired to write and produce Top youngster, a British crime drama television series that centers on gang culture and drug trafficking on an East London council estate that is primarily black, after observing a twelve-year-old youngster dealing narcotics at his neighborhood Tesco supermarket in Hackney. After being canceled in 2014 after two seasons on Channel 4, the show was brought back to life as an original Netflix series, which was produced by Drake, a rapper.
Still Alice, Stardust, The Young Victoria, Layer Cake (film), Shaun the Sheep, and David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive are just a few of his many film and television scores. David Gilmour, Annie Lennox, Take That, KT Tunstall, Tim Wheeler, Amon Tobin, and Nick Hodgson (Kaiser Chiefs) are just a few of the musicians with whom Eshkeri has worked. He recently composed music for astronaut Tim Peake’s Principia mission in collaboration with the European Space Agency. Additionally, he has performed his own pieces at the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Louvre in Paris, and the Burberry 2016 Autumn fashion show in London, where he performed a specially commissioned piece titled Reliquary.
Eshkeri directed a 90-piece orchestra at the Tuileries Garden in 2012 after receiving a commission to compose a work for a photo exhibition at The Louvre in Paris. The London Metropolitan Orchestra recorded the twelve-part tone poem “Through My Window” at Abbey Road Studios. The 46-minute piece was performed in conjunction with the exhibition. Eshkeri wrote the soundtrack for The Sims 4 and a number of its expansion packs in 2014.
In 2017, Eshkeri collaborated with renowned photographer and director David LaChapelle and ballet dancer Sergei Polunin to create a ballet called Narcissus and Echo. [2] The show debuted on March 14th, 2017 at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre. Eshkeri’s most recent production, “Space Station Earth,” which was created with NASA and the European Space Agency, followed a six-year process that involved the creation of a Synth-Pop album and the directing of a triptych film that served as the backdrop for the live performance. The Show was shown at the Royal Albert Hall in 2022.
