Hitesh Modak

Biography:

Hitesh Modak, a music composer, arranger, and producer hailing from Mumbai, has left a significant mark in the Bollywood music scene. Born into an economically challenged family in Mumbai, Modak’s journey began with playing in various bands and performing in international stage shows before making his mark in the Indian film industry.

In Bollywood, Modak gained recognition as the arranger and music producer of the track “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage” from the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Despite his challenging background, he established himself as a prominent figure in the industry. The song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage” from Dum Laga Ke Haisha earned acclaim, winning multiple categories at the 63rd National Awards.

Modak’s musical expertise extends to writing background scores for films like Shaitaan, Ishqzaade, Daawat-e-Ishq, Qaidi Band, and Simran. He has also arranged and produced various songs for different projects, including “Qareeb Qareeb Single” (Daana Paani), Hichki (Oye Hichki, Teri Dastaan), Sunder Sushil, Welcome Back song (20/20), Chadta Sooraj, Ye Pal, and Indu Sarkar songs. Additionally, he has worked on projects such as the Begum Jaan film songs, including Holi, O Re Kaharo, Aazadiya, Murshida, Prem Mei Tohre, and the Home web series (An ALT Balaji Web Series), which received a nomination at the ITA awards.

Modak has collaborated with Aditya Chopra and Shiv Rawal to remake a Yash Raj Films song, “Ni Main Yaar Manana Ni” Dance Mix ft. Vaani Kapoor. His upcoming ventures include a Marathi film with Mahesh Manjrekar, untitled Bollywood movies, and a web series with Ehsan Niwas. Esani Dey, the guitarist and co-arranger of PM Narendra Modi, was also part of his creative endeavors.

Notably, Modak served as the music composer for the film PM Narendra Modi, contributing to songs like “Namo Namo,” “Junoon,” and “Ishwar Allah.” His exceptional work in the movie earned him a Black Swan Award in 2019. Furthermore, Modak showcased his versatility as the composer, arranger, and producer in Marathi Big Boss Season 2.
