Greg Russo is a director and screenwriter from the United States. His writing for the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie is what made him most famous. In addition, he plans to develop a follow-up to the 2017 movie Death Note and direct adaptations of F.E.A.R., Saints Row, Space Invaders, and System Shock. Russo graduated from Cherry Hill High School and enrolled at Vassar College. After graduating in 2001, Russo was unable to find employment in the film industry, so he worked for a headhunting agency in New Jersey for the next four years. He described this experience as “lucrative but soul-sucking.” They relocated to Los Angeles in 2007 after Tricia Gonnella, his then-girlfriend and current wife, got admitted to the University of Southern California’s graduate Peter Stark Producing Program.
