Girija Lokesh

Biography:

Actress and occasional producer Girija Lokesh is from India and works in Kannada movies.  She is the wife of actor Lokesh and the mother of Srujan Lokesh and Pooja Lokesh, who are also actors and television presenters. In 2013, the Karnataka government presented her with the Rajyotsava Award in appreciation of her contributions to Kannada film. On January 10, 1951, Girija Lokesh was born to Poornima and businessman S P Swamy. She attended Janata High School to finish her education after growing up in Bengaluru. Her father suffered a significant economic loss when she was in the seventh grade, from which he was unable to bounce back. Having studied dance and music as a child, Girija began her profession as a dance instructor at an early age. Girija performed in hundreds of plays, including those by Shishuvihara, Rangasampada, and Natarang, prior to making her acting debut in the motion picture business.
