Biography:
George C. Scott was a well-known American actor and film director whose performances were known for their intensity and power both in films and theater. Born on October 18, 1927, in Wise, Virginia, George started his career in theater and then moved on to films and television where he received acclaim for his parts in Anatomy of a Murder (1959) and The Hustler (1961). Later he received critical acclaim for playing roles in Dr. Strangelove (1964), The Bible: In the Beginning… (1966), and The Hospital (1971).
