Biography:

Gaurav Chatterji, an Indian music composer, gained recognition primarily for his work in the film industry. He has composed music for notable movies such as Jai Mummy Di, Ginny Weds Sunny, Aafat-e-Ishq, and Jalsa. One of his notable compositions includes the popular song ‘Kaise ab Kahein’ from the film Gutar Gu.

Gaurav Chatterji made his entry into the world of music composition in 2020 when he composed for the film Jai Mummy Di. During the same year, he also worked on the music for Ginny Weds Sunny and Happily Ever After. In 2021, Chatterji continued his musical journey by composing for the film Aafat-e-Ishq. Hiren Kotwani, a reviewer from Times Of India, praised Chatterji’s pleasing music in his review, particularly highlighting the peppy track “Love Ka Bhoot reloaded.” The year 2022 saw Chatterji composing for the film Jalsa, where Anna M.M. Vetticad from Firstpost commended his somber background score, emphasizing the impact it had on each moment of the film. Bollywood Hungama reviewed the film, appreciating Chatterji’s subtle yet impactful background score. Additionally, Zoom’s review of the film emphasized how Chatterji’s brilliant background score added further drama to the captivating storyline, heightening the viewing experience. Chatterji’s talent was recognized through his nomination for the Mirchi Music Awards in the category of Upcoming Composer of the Year, specifically for the song “Phoonk Phoonk” from Ginny Weds Sunny. Furthermore, he won the FOI (Film Online Infotainment) award for Best Background Score for the film ‘Jalsa’.
