John “Gaten” Gaetano Matarazzo III MAT-ə-RAZ-oh, Italian: born September 8, 2002 is a singer and actor from the United States. He made his Broadway debut as Gavroche in Les Misérables (2014–15) and as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (2011–12). Playing Dustin Henderson in the Netflix science-fiction-horror drama series Stranger Things (2016–2025) brought Matarazzo notoriety. Additionally, from 2019 to 2021, he hosted the Netflix series Prank Encounters. He portrayed Boris the Dragon in the animated fantasy comedy My Father’s Dragon and costarred in the coming-of-age comedy Honour Society in 2022.
