Frank E. Flowers
Biography:
Caymanian independent filmmaker, director, and screenwriter Frank Ewen Flowers Jr. was born in 1979. He wrote and directed the critically acclaimed short film Swallow in 2003 and the feature film Haven in 2004, which was the first to be fully shot on the island of Grand Cayman. Flowers is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, formerly known as the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television.
Additionally, Flowers and filmmaker Sean Ellis co-wrote Metro Manila. After winning multiple British Independent Film Awards, the movie was nominated for a BAFTA in 2014 and received an audience award at the Sundance Film Festival. He was hired by Universal Studios in 2015 to write the script for Shooting Stars, a film about basketball legend LeBron James’ adolescent years. Together with Academy Award nominees Terence Winter and Rachel, James and his partner Maverick Carter produced the movie. In addition, Flowers co-wrote and directed The Bluff, which was produced by Amazon MGM Studios, and co-wrote the Bob Marley: One Love biography for filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green.
