Evelyn Lakshmi Sharma is a German actress and model known for her work in Hindi-language Indian films. She began her acting journey with a role in the 2006 American film Turn Left and made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with From Sydney with Love. Her breakthrough came in 2013 with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which brought her significant recognition.
Sharma’s career started with a minor role in Turn Left (2006), and she made her mark in Bollywood as Lubaina Snyder in From Sydney with Love (2012). Her performances in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Nautanki Saala!, and Issaq earned her further acclaim. In 2014, she played Janet D’souza in the sleeper hit Yaariyan. That same year, she ventured into music, releasing her debut single “Something Beautiful,” produced by Brooklyn Shanti. Sharma also hosted a travel show, Life Mein Ek Baar.
In 2015, she appeared in Devang Dholakia’s Kuch Kuch Locha Hai alongside Navdeep Chabbra, Sunny Leone, and Ram Kapoor, followed by a role in Ishqedarriyaan. More recently, she featured in Saaho and Kissebaaz in 2019.
Born and raised in Frankfurt, Hesse, West Germany, Evelyn Sharma has an Indian Punjabi Hindu father and a German mother, holding German citizenship. In October 2019, she got engaged to Tushaan Bhindi, an Indo-Australian dental surgeon and entrepreneur, and they married on May 15, 2021, in Brisbane, Australia. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in November 2021.
