Dustin Hoffman is a renowned American actor who has made his name by depicting versatile and emotionally complex characters. Dustin Hoffman was born on August 8, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, and has been acting in theater since he graduated from the Pasadena Playhouse in Los Angeles. The success of Hoffman as an actor began with the movie, “The Graduate” in 1967. In this movie, Hoffman portrayed a young, disillusioned college graduate named Benjamin Braddock. He further went on to star in some very famous movies like “Midnight Cowboy” in 1969, “Little Big Man” in 1970, “Papillon” in 1973, and “Lenny” in 1974.
Dustin Hoffman has been nominated for Best Actor in Academy Award nominations seven times. He has won the Academy Award for Best Actor two times; once in the movie Kramer vs. Kramer in 1979 and another time for Rain Man in 1988. Some of the other well-known movies featuring Dustin Hoffman are “All the President’s Men” in 1976, “Tootsie” in 1982, “Hook” in 1991, “Wag the Dog” in 1997, and “Finding Neverland” in 2004.
