Indian actor, comedian, producer, politician, and businessman Dharmajan Bolgatty was born in 1976 and has appeared in theater productions, television series, and Malayalam movies. In the 2010s, he ventured into comic television series and movies after starting his career as a comedian performing in stage sketch comedy. In 2021, before Kerala’s assembly elections, Dharmajan became involved in politics. He is an Indian National Congress member and was the Balusseri constituency’s United Democratic Front candidate.
His breakthrough came from the popularity of the TV comedy series Bluff Master on Asianet Plus, which he co-hosted with his friend Ramesh Pisharody. He had previously participated in a number of TV shows. They later rose to fame as a comedic combo. Together, they wrote the screenplay for the comedy series Cinemala. The pair is also well-known for Badai Bungalow, a Malayalam television program. Paappi Appacha (2010) was the first movie he made in Malayalam. He was the sidekick of Dileep’s driver. His roles are mostly comedic.
His roles in Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, Aadu, and Aadu 2 solidified his reputation as a comedic actor in the Malayalam film industry, following his full-length appearance in Paappi Appacha. Additionally, it has been confirmed that he will be a playback vocalist. He has opened his own fish stores and is also a businessman. He is also a producer, having worked on the 2018 movie Nithyaharitha Nayakan.
