Indian actress Dhanya Ananya is employed in the Malayalam film business. In 2019, she made her Malayalam film debut and gained recognition for her role in Nalpathiyonnu. Later, Dhanya starred in several critically acclaimed Malayalam films, such as Saudi Vellakka, Jana Gana Mana, and Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
Dhanya Ananya graduated from Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram with a degree in journalism. Dhanya performed in multiple music videos and short films while she was a college student. She also began experimenting with acting, which prompted her to enroll in Sree Sankara University’s MA Theatre program in Kalady. Later, she appeared in independent films including Krishnan K. P.’s Heart of Dog, Hazan Nazer’s Iranian-Orian film The Checkpost (Hindi), Shareef Easa’s Aandaal, and Veena Leela Bharathi’s KOPFKINO. In 2017, KOPFKINO was shown at the New York Indian Film Festival. She portrayed Umanii in Gopan Chitambaran’s theatrical drama Thuramukham.
Dhanya first became well-known for her performance as Suma in the 2019 Malayalam movie 41. Her performance as Jessy in Ayyappanum Koshiyum made her famous. Dhanya later appeared in a number of movies as a character. Critics praised her performance in Saudi Vellakka (2022) and Jana Gana Mana.
