Dev Mohan

Biography:

In Thrissur, Kerala, on September 18, 1992, Dev Mohan was born. He attended the Technical High School in Thrissur for his education. following completion of Mechanical Engineering coursework at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology in Thrissur. He began his modelling career there. He competed in the Mumbai-based Peter England Mr India 2016 contest in 2016 and placed in the finals. He wed Rajina, his longtime lover, in 2020.

Film career:
In the 2020 Amazon Prime movie Sufiyum Sujatayum, Dev Mohan played the title character of the Sufi. He was chosen for the part after the crew had an audition. He spent two years mastering Arabic and Sufi dancing as part of his preparation for the role after the audition. The Sufi spinning took around nine months to perfect. His work in the movie received accolades. The India Today’s Lohesh Balachandran stated that “Credit for the film goes to both the director and the lead actors, Dev Mohan and Aditi Rao Hydari, who slip into their roles with Elan.” He gained notoriety thanks to this movie.

He then worked on the Malayalam film Pulli. He was chosen to play Dushyanta alongside Samantha in the Telugu film Shaakuntalam in 2021. The film was made available on April 14, 2023. His first theatrically released film was the Malayalam film Panthrandu, which he acted in in 2022. Dev Mohan looks excellent in this action thriller but doesn’t strike the same emotional chord he did in his debut romance part in Sufiyum Sujathayum, according to a reviewer of his performance.
