Deepthi Nambiar, an Indian film actress prominent in the Tamil and Malayalam cinema, gained recognition for her brief romantic portrayal as “Pooja” in the 2011 Tamil film “Engaeyum Eppothum.” Her introduction to Tamil cinema occurred through “Pattalam.”
Deepthi Nambiar was born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, India. She hails from a Malayali background and attended St. Anne’s High School in Pune. She holds a Commerce bachelor’s degree from S.N.D.T. College. She has a younger brother named Aditya Nambiar. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Pune.
Her career commenced as a Malayalam TV channel anchor before entering the film industry. She played the lead role in “Ungal Viruppam” and is also engaged in the filming of two Tamil movies: A. R. Murugadoss’s “Thuppakki” and Vincent Selva’s “Thulli Vilayadu.” She appeared in the Tamil movies “Yugam” and “Vellai Kaagidham.” In “Yugam,” she and Rahul Madhav portrayed a newlywed couple encountering misunderstandings after moving into an apartment. “Ungal Viruppam” narrates the tale of two IT professionals, Balu and Rita.
Presently, she is the lead actress in director Pradeep Nair’s Malayalam movie “Cherukkanum Pennum,” with shooting currently underway in Kochi.
