Biography:

Bollywood film editor, producer, and director Deepa Bhatia resides in Mumbai. Tare Zameen Par, My Name is Khan, Rock On, Kai Po Che, Student of the Year, and Raees are just a few of the commercially successful movies she has edited. Additionally, she edited Drive, Kedarnath, and Sachin: A Billion Dreams, the highly anticipated biography about Sachin Tendulkar.

According to Deepa, editing is the process of making something the best it can be. “A movie is written three times,” she said. First, it is written; second, it is directed; and finally, it is edited. The fact that editors are underappreciated is regrettable. I find it annoying when people mistake cutting for editing.She was selected as the personality of the month by UTV World Movies in 2010, and she was asked to select four films from the channel’s library. Machuca, Cousin Cousine, Twin Sisters, and Eight Women were the films she selected.
