American film producer Dorcas Wright “Dede” Gardner was born on October 16, 1967. She has served as president since Plan B Entertainment’s inception and has been co-president with Jeremy Kleiner since 2013. She became the first woman to win two Oscars for Best Picture after producing the films Moonlight (2016) and 12 Years a Slave (2013).
