Actor David Kenneth Harbour was born in the United States on April 10, 1975. As Jim Hopper in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things (2016–present), he became well-known throughout the world and was nominated twice for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Santa Claus in Violent Night (2022), the title character in Hellboy (2019), and a former racer in Gran Turismo (2023) are some of his most well-known cinematic performances. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe media property, Harbour has portrayed Red Guardian in the films Black Widow (2021), Thunderbolts* (2025), and Avengers: Doomsday (2026). Starting with the TV show Creature Commandos, Harbour also became a part of the DC Universe as Eric Frankenstein.
