Biography:

Darshan Kumar, known by his stage name, is an Indian actor primarily active in Hindi films. He gained recognition with his debut in the film “Mary Kom” (2014), where he played the male lead opposite Priyanka Chopra. His notable work includes the 2022 film “The Kashmir Files,” where he portrayed a young student from a Kashmiri Pandit family.

Darshan Kumar hails from a Hindu Jat family in Kishangarh Village, Mehrauli, South Delhi. At the age of 24, he moved to Mumbai and immersed himself in the world of acting, working with the Sahej theatre group for five years.

Darshan Kumar’s journey into films began with an audition for the movie “Mary Kom,” suggested by the casting director. He made his presence felt in the TV series “Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev,” playing the role of Shukracharya, the guru of the demons.

While he worked in the TV series and also featured in “NH10” with Anushka Sharma, it was “Mary Kom” alongside Priyanka Chopra that marked his cinematic debut. His career highlights include the impactful role in “The Kashmir Files,” showcasing his versatility as an actor.
