Danny Denzongpa, born Tshering Phintso Denzongpa on February 25, 1948, is a versatile Indian actor, singer, and filmmaker known for his contributions primarily to Hindi cinema, with occasional forays into Bengali, Nepali, and Tamil films. Over a remarkable career spanning five decades, Denzongpa has graced the silver screen in over 190 films since his debut in 1971.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the arts, Denzongpa was honored with the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2003, one of India’s highest civilian honors, underscoring his stature as a respected figure in the film industry.
