Dani Sanchez Lopez was born in West Hollywood, California, in the United States On January 30, 1975. After earning his degree in the US, he relocated to India to work in the film industry. None of his personal information is known. He keeps his personal affairs separate from his work life. He is among the most well-liked cinematographers working today.

In 2014, he made his acting debut in the Bollywood film Tamanchey. Following that, he debuted in the 2018 film Mahanati. He was employed on the Bollywood film Ishqeria in the same year.
