Dan Trachtenberg is an American podcast host and filmmaker who was born on May 11, 1981. With 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016), he made his feature film debut and was nominated for an Outstanding Directing – First-Time Feature Film Directors Guild of America Award. He later directed and wrote the scripts for three Predator movies: Prey (2022), Predator: Badlands (2025), and the animated movie Predator: Killer of Killers (2025). He directed television shows, including Stranger Things (2025), Black Mirror (2016), and the pilot episodes of The Boys (2019) and The Lost Symbol (2021).
Trachtenberg was a former co-host of the Geekdrome podcast and one of the three hosts of The Totally Rad Show. Additionally, he directed episodes for the podcast Ctrl+Alt+Chicken. Revision3 hosted all three programs. In addition, he directed a number of TV ads and PSAs, as well as the 2011 short film Portal: No Escape.
