Daisy Shah, born on August 25, 1984, is an Indian actress, model, and dancer primarily known for her work in Hindi and Kannada films. Her journey to fame began as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Shah’s breakthrough came in 2011 when she landed the lead role in the Kannada film “Bhadra.” She gained further prominence starring alongside Salman Khan in the Hindi film “Jai Ho” in 2014 and later appeared in “Hate Story 3” in 2015. In 2023, she participated in “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.”
Born and raised in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra, Shah hails from a Gujarati family. Her early achievements included winning the Miss Photogenic award in the MS Dombivli contest during her 10th grade. She pursued her education in arts at Mumbai’s Khalsa College.
Her career took off initially as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya, working on films like “Zameen” and “Khakee.” She gradually transitioned into modeling, featuring in photo shoots and print ads. Her film journey began in Kannada cinema with “Chingari,” where her dance skills were highlighted. She made her acting debut in the 2011 Kannada film “Bhadra,” earning praise for her dance abilities. Following this, she appeared in films like “Bodyguard” and did item songs in both Kannada and Hindi cinema.
