Biography:
Clark Gable was among the greatest stars during the era of Golden Age Hollywood and was referred to as the “King of Hollywood.” Born on February 1, 1901, in Cadiz, Ohio, Gable started his acting career in theater and later moved to Hollywood in the 1920s. The actor gained widespread recognition following his appearance in movies including The Secret Six (1931), A Free Soul (1931), Red Dust (1932), and It Happened One Night (1934), which won him the Academy Award for Best Actor. His magnetic charisma and confidence were among the factors that made him among the greatest box office hits of his generation.
Clark Gable attained the highest point of his acting career in the movie Gone with the Wind (1939), one of the greatest films in American movies. He starred in various movies such as Mogambo (1953), The Misfits (1961), and Run Silent, Run Deep (1958). During his acting career, which lasted for more than three decades, Clark Gable remained as one of the greatest symbols of Hollywood masculinity and romance. He passed away on November 16, 1960, in Los Angeles, California.
