C. Prem Kumar, a former cinematographer turned filmmaker, is most recognized for his work in Tamil cinema. Among the well-known films in which he has directed the camera department are the comedy-drama Sundarapandian (2012), the comedy Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012), and the comedy-drama Pasanga (2009).
With the 2018 film 96, which he also wrote, Prem Kumar made his feature film directing debut. Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan played the key roles in the love drama 96. 2020 will see the release of Jaanu.
