American comedian and actor Brett Gelman was born on October 6, 1976. His most well-known roles are those of Martin in the BBC comedy Fleabag and Murray Bauman in the horror-supernatural series Stranger Things on Netflix.
Gelman started out as a comedian in the 2000s and became well-known in the next decade for his appearances on several Adult Swim programs, including Eagleheart, as well as comedy specials in 2014 and 2015. He also appeared in the major casts of the comedy series Married on FX, the sitcom Go On on NBC, and Another Period on Comedy Central during this time.
In addition to his work on Mr. Mercedes and Camping, Gelman rose to fame in the late 2010s for his supporting parts in Fleabag and Stranger Things. He has provided voice acting for a number of television shows, including Jeff & Some Aliens and TripTank on Comedy Central and, more recently, Inside Job and I Heart Arlo on Netflix. He starred in the drama series Lady in the Lake on Apple TV+.
