Bishakh Jyoti is a highly acclaimed music director hailing from India. His versatile talents encompass composing, music direction, singing, and captivating live performances. He marked his entry into the realm of film composition back in 2014 when he contributed to the soundtrack of “Babloo Happy Hai,” directed by Nila Madhab Panda. Notably, Bisakh Jyoti also earned recognition as the runner-up in the Indian singing reality competition, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar,” aired on Zee TV Channel. His recent project as a music director involves the film “Gone Kesh.”
In “Babloo Happy Hai,” he played a pivotal role in crafting the song “Uhe Batiya,” sung by the illustrious Shankar Mahadevan, which was acknowledged as the Raaga-based song of the year and received a nomination at the Mirchi Awards.
His journey continued in 2015 with his composition of “Chala Murari,” performed by Amit Kumar, for the film “Kaun Kitne Paani Mein.” In 2019, Bisakh Jyoti’s musical prowess shone through in “Lucknow Times” and “Gone Kesh,” where he contributed to “Beimani Se,” sung by Mahalakshmi Iyer.
Currently residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Bisakh Jyoti boasts not only singing and music composition skills but also a penchant for lyric writing. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hindi College.
His expertise extends to music education, management, guitar playing, production, composition, industry insight, theory, studio recording, entertainment, and audio production. His professional journey led him to a stint as a music director with ZEE Music Company in 2015, followed by roles as a music director at Handyman and GAIL India for approximately eight months.
In 2017, he took on the position of music director at Drishyam Films, a Mumbai-based company. He further expanded his repertoire by becoming a singer-performer at Purple Petal Entertainment in 2017, where he has continued to excel for the past six years. Beyond his music direction talents, he also shines as a remarkable vocal coach.
