Biography:

Indian actress Karthika Menon, better known by her stage name Bhavana, works primarily in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, as well as few Kannada and Malayalam ones. She has won a Filmfare Award as well as two Kerala State Film Awards. She made her acting debut in Nammal (2002) and went on to appear in several popular Malayalam movies, including Chronic Bachelor (2003), C.I.D. Moosa (2003), Swapnakoodu (2003), Chathikkatha Chanthu (2004), Naran (2005), Chotta Mumbai (2007), and Marykkundoru Kunjaadu (2010), as well as popular Tamil movies, like Chithiram Pesuthadi (2006), Jayamkondaan (2008).

After being kidnapped and assaulted in the beginning of 2017, her career changed, and she stayed away from Malayalam cinema. The Women in Cinema Collective, founded by Parvathy Thiruvothu, Rima Kallingal, and Anjali Menon, was established as a result of the incident to protect female actresses.

Karthika Menon gave birth to Bhavana on June 6, 1986 in Thrissur, Kerala. She is the child of Pushpa and G. Balachandran, the assistant director of photography. Jayadev is her older brother. She attended Holy Family Convent Girls High School in Thrissur for her education. Bhavana has characterized herself as “hard to handle” and a restless individual. She had aspirations of becoming an actor when she was younger.
