Biography:

Benjamin is an Indian actor and comedian who is predominantly recognized for his work in Tamil-language films, often taking on supporting roles. His journey in the film industry began with his acting debut in Cheran’s “Vetri Kodi Kattu” in the year 2000, where he portrayed the role of Vadivelu’s character’s foul-mouthed brother.

The turning point in Benjamin’s career came with his role in Cheran’s “Autograph” in 2004. In this film, he portrayed the character of the lead character’s childhood friend, who aids him in his quest to find his former lovers. The film’s success paved the way for Benjamin to take on his first lead comedy role in “Thirupaachi” (2005), where he played the friend of Vijay’s character. This marked a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his versatility in both supporting and comedic roles.

In 2020, Benjamin faced a health crisis when he suffered a heart attack. During this challenging time, he made a public appeal for financial assistance from his colleagues in the film industry, highlighting the importance of support and solidarity within the industry.
