Balwinder Singh Janjua is an Indian screenwriter, film director, and producer famous for his work in the fields of Hindi and Punjabi movies and digital entertainment. Balwinder Singh Janjua has had the opportunity to prove himself as a screenwriter through several films like Saand Ki Aankh, Mubarakan, and Faraaz where his captivating story lines and socially relevant topics earned him much praise from critics. Having taken to directing, he made his directorial debut with the Netflix Punjabi crime thriller TV series CAT (2022) which he also scripted and created. Highly appreciated for its intense depiction of the Punjab drug epidemic, complex characters, and emotional story lines, CAT is just another example of Balwinder Singh Janjua’s ability to intertwine the elements of crime and drama with strong sociological commentary.
