Asha Bhat

Biography:

Asha Bhat, an Indian actress and model, was born on September 5, 1992. She was the 2014 Miss Supranational pageant winner. She is the inaugural Indian winner of the title. Alongside Vidyut Jammwal, she made her acting debut in the 2019 Hindi film Junglee. She later starred in the action movie Roberrt, released in Kannada in 2021.

On September 5, 1992, Asha Bhat was born to Subrahmanya and Shyamala Bhat in Bhadravati, an industrial city in the Shimoga region of the Indian state of Karnataka. Her parents have been employed by the clinical laboratories in Bhadravati City as medical laboratory technologists. Her only older sister is a pediatrician named Dr. Akshatha. Bhat completed her pre-university studies at Alva’s Pre-University College in Moodbidri after attending St. Charles School in Bhadravathi.

While attending Alvas College, she registered for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and was chosen to attend the Republic Day Camp. She visited the Sri Lanka Military Academy as a member of the NCC delegation from the SAARC countries, where she was presented with the 2009 Mahinda Rajapaksa All-Rounder Award.

She left R.V. College of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering. She is a model, actor, and social activist who currently resides in Mumbai. She also owns her own non-profit organization, the Astra Foundation. She competed in The Times Group’s 2014 Miss Diva pageant and finished second to Alankrita Sahai for the title of Miss India Supranational 2014.
