Arunoday Singh, an Indian actor, began his acting journey with the movie “Sikandar” in 2009. He later starred in films like “Aisha” (2010), “Yeh Saali Zindagi” (2011), “Jism 2” (2012), “Main Tera Hero” (2014), “Mr X” (2015), “Mohenjo Daro” (2016), and “Blackmail” (2018). He also featured in the web series “Apaharan” from 2018 to 2022.
Born into a political family, Singh is the grandson of Arjun Singh, a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and the son of Ajay Singh, a prominent figure in the Madhya Pradesh State assembly. He attended Brandeis University and later pursued acting after being inspired by Marlon Brando’s performance in “On the Waterfront” (1954). Singh underwent training at the New York Film Academy and Acting Studio in New York, where he also performed in theater productions.
After completing his education, Singh auditioned for roles and landed his debut in “Sikandar” as a Kashmiri terrorist. He then appeared in “Aisha,” a romantic comedy-drama based on Jane Austen’s novel “Emma.” Singh’s career continued to flourish as he took on diverse roles in various genres, including crime thrillers, erotic thrillers, romantic comedies, and period dramas.
In addition to his film work, Singh ventured into the digital space with “Apaharan,” where he received acclaim for his portrayal of a disgraced police officer seeking redemption.
Despite his family’s political background, Singh pursued his passion for acting and has established himself as a versatile talent in the Indian entertainment industry.
