Biography:

Arthi Ashwin, a rising star talent in the South Indian film industry, hails from Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu, a quaint town known for its scenic greenery and rich cultural heritage. Despite having no connections to the film industry and growing up far from its glamour, her journey into acting is a testament to her passion, perseverance, and relentless hard work.

Raised in a humble household, Arthi was deeply captivated by the world of cinema and spent countless hours watching films and television. Initially aspiring to become a singer, she took it upon herself to learn and refine her skills. However, her family, viewing a singing career as unstable, encouraged her to pursue a commerce degree instead. The lack of familial support forced Arthi to set aside her singing ambitions, leading to self-doubt. Yet, her love for the entertainment industry never wavered, and she remained determined to carve her own path.

Undeterred by obstacles, Arthi actively sought opportunities, auditioning for television reality shows during her college years. Her dedication led her to work with Jaya TV’s direction team on reality shows. Taking a bold step, she even left a secure, well-paying multinational job to fully immerse herself in her passion. Gradually, she honed her skills through modern theatre plays and video content creation, gaining valuable on-screen experience.

Her silver screen debut came with Ruthrathaandavam, directed by Mohan G, where she portrayed a reporter. This role marked her entry into the film industry and provided her with firsthand industry exposure, boosting her confidence.

Arthi Ashwin has recently expanded her creative horizons by acting in and directing the short film “I Love Dubai”. Inspired by a real-life experience, the film pays tribute to the exceptional kindness, generosity, and hospitality extended by the people of Dubai and the UAE to her and countless others. The film has achieved remarkable organic success. Her posts related to “I Love Dubai” have collectively surpassed 1 million views, with one reel crossing an impressive 10 million views on Instagram. On YouTube, the short film has garnered over 30,000 views without any paid promotions.

The project has received widespread acclaim and positive reviews for its emotional depth, natural performances, and heartfelt storytelling.  Building on the success of the film, Arthi is currently writing and developing a web series based on the same concept. In a significant entrepreneurial move, Arthi has founded Cosmara Marketing Management, a marketing company based in Dubai. She is now proudly establishing herself as a Dubai-based businesswoman while continuing her journey in acting and content creation.
