Indian filmmaker Arnab Chatterjee was born in Kolkata, India, on November 13, 1999, to Bengali parents. At the age of eight, Arnab began filmmaking, and he has since developed as a filmmaker. In 2013, at the age of thirteen, he founded his production company, ACjee Productions. According to the Times of India, he is among India’s youngest directors.
Arnab attended La Martiniere Calcutta from 2003 to 2018, and he is now working for his degree at Amity University in Kolkata. His love for movies dates back to 2008 and 2009, when he persuaded his peers to appear in his flicks.
After directing six short films under his own name, Arnab began filming his feature picture Unsaid in 2016. It took him over a year and a half to finish. The movie started its festival run in November 2018, and over the course of five months, it won a staggering thirty-one national and international awards, including the IndieFEST Awards in the USA, the Global Film Festival Awards in Los Angeles, and the New York Film Awards, making Arnab the youngest celebrated Indian director in the festivals.
Celebrities like Prosenjit Chatterjee, Kaushik Ganguly, Rituparna Sengupta, Anik Dutta, Agnimitra Paul, Bonny Sengupta, and Abhishek Dutta supported him during Unsaid’s theatrical premiere at Nandan West Bengal Film Centre and non-commercial release in Kolkata.
Following Unsaid, Arnab is reportedly working on his next project, a short film that addresses the generation gap. ACjee Productions is going to produce the movie.
