Anup Bhat

Biography:

Anup Bhat is a music composer and producer hailing from Mumbai, Maharashtra. His academic journey in Music Composition and Music for Film and TV took place at Point Blank Music School in London. Residing with his single mother, Shobha Bhat, Anup is a creative individual with expertise in music composition, sound design, background score, film scoring, and more. He is renowned for his work on songs like Kun Faya Kun, ChaarLugai, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Hey Ram Hamne Gandhi Ko Maar Diya, among others. Driven by a deep passion for music, he initiated his career as an ad film music director, collaborating with renowned personalities in the fashion industry such as Sabyasachi.

While initially self-taught in the fashion industry, Anup transitioned into a professional film background score composer. His profound love for music and sound design aligns with a broader interest in acquiring new skills, including filmmaking and storytelling. Having scored for nearly seven Bollywood feature films, he realized his dream of working with esteemed producers, leading to the establishment of his own studio, Pause Studios, catering to creators and producers. Throughout his journey, Anup’s mother has been a steadfast source of support. Beyond contributions to multinational companies’ ads like Shanti Amla and Marico Parachute, he has also lent his talents to award-winning short films such as I Me Myself and Coffee, Almost.
