Anthony Ramos

Biography:

American singer and actor Anthony Paul Ramos Martinez  is of Puerto Rican heritage and was born on November 1, 1991. Following his graduation from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a degree in musical theater, he started acting in theatrical musicals. His twin roles as Philip Hamilton and John Laurens in Hamilton earned him a Grammy Award in 2015. For his work in the 2020 stage recording, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series or Movie.

Ramos starred in the action movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), the disaster movie Twisters (2024), and the musical film In the Heights (2021), for which he received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. He also had a supporting role in A Star Is Born (2018).
