Anna Sawai is a singer and actress from Japan. At the age of ten, she and her family relocated to Japan from New Zealand. At the age of 11, she was cast in her first acting role as Annie, the titular heroine in the 2004 Nippon Television adaptation. Later, Sawai debuted in the martial arts movie Ninja Assassin, directed by James McTeigue, in 2009.
