Angela Russo-Otstot

Biography:

American screenwriter and film producer Angela Russo-Otstot was born in 1978. In addition to serving as AGBO’s chief creative officer (CCO), she is well-known for working with her brothers, directors Anthony and Joe Russo. She produced Extraction 2 (2023) and The Electric State (2025), co-wrote Cherry (2021), and executive produced Citadel and its spinoffs on Prime Video.

Cleveland, Ohio, is where Russo-Otstot was born. She is the daughter of Basil Russo, a lawyer and former judge, and Patricia Gallupoli, whose ancestors immigrated from Abruzzo and Sicily. She is the sister of the Russo brothers, who are filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo. She and her mother prepared meals for the crew of her brothers’ debut movie, Pieces, while she was a high school student. After attending Syracuse University to study acting and theater, she spent two years at the William Esper Studio learning the Meisner acting style.
