Amresh Ganesh

Amresh Ganesh is a multifaceted Indian talent who has made his mark in the world of Tamil cinema as an actor, film composer, and singer. Born into the industry as the son of renowned actress Jayachitra and industrialist Ganesh, his journey in the world of entertainment began at a young age.

As a child artist, Amresh made his debut appearance in the film “Pudhiya Raagam” in 1991, under the guidance of his mother, Jayachitra. Years later, he returned to the silver screen as an actor, featuring in “Naane Ennul Illai” in 2010. However, the film’s lackluster performance posed challenges for his acting career.

Amresh’s true breakthrough came when he ventured into music composition. He gained recognition for composing a four-language music album titled “Jeevitham” in 2008, featuring notable singers like S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Karthik, and Sujatha.

Despite initial setbacks in his acting career, Amresh continued to explore opportunities in the film industry. He worked on projects like “Kaliyuga Kadhalan” and “Machan Ava En Aalu Da” in 2011, though these films remained unfinished. His mother, Jayachitra, announced several other projects with Amresh as the lead, including “Mundru Mugangal,” “Nedunchalai,” and “Scene Podathey,” but these, too, failed to materialize.

Amresh’s music composition career took a significant turn in 2015 when he was signed by producer R. B. Choudary and director Sai Ramani to work on the music for “Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva” (2017), starring Raghava Lawrence. However, controversies arose when accusations of song theft were made against him by actor Tinku, alleging that Amresh had appropriated a song called “Hara Hara Mahadevaki.” Amresh defended himself, presenting evidence that debunked the claims and highlighted alleged fraudulent activities by Tinku and Robert, who were involved in the shelved project from which the song originated.

Amresh Ganesh’s upcoming projects include “Pottu,” “Garjanai” featuring Trisha, and “Yung Mung Sung” starring Prabhu Deva. In his personal life, he married Keerthi Hanusha in October 2016, and they welcomed their daughter on March 31, 2019.
