Founded by his father, L. V. Prasad, Akkineni Ramesh Prasad is an Indian businessman, film producer, chairman, and head of Prasad Studios, Prasads IMAX, and L V Prasad Eye Institute. In 1988–1989, Prasad presided over the Film Federation of India as its president. His services to the Telugu film industry earned him the title of “Father of Modern Telugu Cinema” from the film industry. His use of state-of-the-art technology to the filmmaking process improved picture quality, visual effects, sound design, and other aspects.
After graduating from American universities with a B.E.M.S., he founded Prasad Film Labs in Chennai in 1974. The biggest network of post-production studios for Indian movies is called Prasad Studios. having a presence outside in Singapore, Dubai, and the United States, and a total of 12 delivery units spread across all of India’s major film production hubs: Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Bhuvaneswar, Kolkata.
