Biography:

Ajay Raaj is an Indian actor and choreographer known for his work in Tamil language films, particularly those associated with director Venkat Prabhu and his team. He initially entered the entertainment industry as a dance choreographer before making his acting debut in Agathiyan’s “Selvam” in 2005.

In “Selvam,” Ajay portrayed a friend of the lead character, played by Nandha. His association with director Venkat Prabhu led to notable roles in films like “Chennai 600028” (2007), where he played an ambulance driver participating in gully cricket for the Sharks team. This marked the beginning of his regular appearances in films associated with Venkat Prabhu and his team, including “Saroja” (2008) and “Thozha” (2008).

Ajay Raaj’s versatility as an actor was evident when he took on a supporting role in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s neo-noir gangster film, “Aaranya Kaandam” (2010). In this film, he portrayed a henchman of the gangster played by Jackie Shroff, showcasing his ability to handle diverse characters.

In 2016, actor Nithin Sathya announced that Ajay Raaj would be playing the lead role in his first film as a producer, marking a significant step forward in Ajay’s career.
